What to Do in Miraflores: The Complete Guide

The Malecón, Parque Kennedy, Larcomar, Parque del Amor, Huaca Pucllana, and the best areas to eat — everything you can do without leaving Miraflores.
Miraflores is large and varied enough to fill an entire day without ever needing to leave the district. Here's a point-by-point guide to what to do.
Malecón de Miraflores
The clifftop coastal boardwalk is the heart of the district — several kilometers of connected parks with a direct view of the Pacific. It's the best spot in the city to watch paragliders launch off the cliffs on a clear afternoon.
Parque Kennedy
Miraflores' central park, ringed by cafés and known for the colony of cats that has lived there for decades. Weekends usually bring art and craft fairs around the square.
Larcomar
The shopping mall built directly into the cliffside, with ocean views from almost every corner — shops, a cinema, and one of the city's best concentrations of terrace restaurants. Sunset from Larcomar is, for many, Lima's best free postcard.
Parque del Amor
Right on the boardwalk, centered around Víctor Delfín's "El Beso" sculpture — a classic viewpoint, especially at sunset.
Huaca Pucllana
A pre-Inca adobe pyramid over 1,500 years old, sitting in the middle of modern Miraflores. It offers guided tours by day and lights up at night — the on-site restaurant of the same name looks directly out over the ruin.
Where to eat
Lima's reputation as a culinary capital is largely earned in and around Miraflores: ceviche, anticuchos, a strong Nikkei (Peruvian-Japanese) tradition, and some of the world's top-ranked restaurants a short drive away. Reservations at the higher-end spots fill up weeks in advance.
Shopping areas
Beyond Larcomar, Avenida Larco and the surrounding streets concentrate shops, banks, and currency exchanges — the most practical part of the district for running errands without straying far from your hotel.
Miraflores itself is very walkable, but heading to Barranco, the Historic Center, or any day trip outside the district is where a private driver who already knows the area really pays off — no waiting on availability or surge pricing from an app during rush hour.
